CST 300 - Week Seven

Reflections on Teamwork

Our team split up the final research video project into three tasks: research, scripting, and video creation. As a group of three, we each chose one task. This worked for the assignment but since one team member was missing from the initial meeting, we were not able to ensure that each member was truly happy with their assigned task. In the future, we will try to make sure that everyone can be at the initial group meeting and is content with their part of the assignment.

Reflections on Ted Talks

“This is what happens when you reply to spam emails”- James Veitch

This was a very entertaining talk on the nature of spam emails and new ideas of how to respond. The speaker shared a great story in an engaging manner.

“How quantum biology might explain life’s biggest questions” - Jim Al Khalili

This was a very informative talk about the role of quantum physics in biology. In this talk, the speaker kept the audience captivated with a lot of interesting information as well as intriguing graphics to help the audience understand his talk.

Reflections on “Life After Death by Powerpoint” -Don McMillan

This was another entertaining piece with tips for creating an effective PowerPoint presentation. I really agreed with his message and enjoyed his style! I will watch this again when I could use a laugh!
